Playing for Change has in recent years been providing support to seventeen social entrepreneurs who together helped to make life better for hundreds of thousands of children and youth. Among the entrepreneurs that Playing for Change supports is everything from new ways of teaching young people mathematics to support parents with chubby children.
- I am absolutely convinced that there are many people across Sweden who have ideas that could make life better for children and youth if only they had the chance. Playing for Change is now offering the chance and I really hope that all social entrepreneurs out there send in their ideas to us, says Sara Damber, CEO Playing for Change.
The term social entrepreneur is defined as a person who has a business or core idea aimed at solving a social problem. The social entrepreneurs who are selected by Playing for Change will get financial support for 1-3 years to get the tools to develop the idea further, but also professional coaching of the Kinnevik group company’s best minds.
- Playing for Change is to combine business professionalism with a desire to solve social problems. The persons we seek must be strong, committed and creative individuals who have the willingness to work hard to realize their ideas, says Sara Damber.
